How We Keep Children Safe
We safeguard children by:
Maintaining a strong safeguarding culture throughout the school.
Ensuring all staff receive regular safeguarding and child protection training.
Following robust safer recruitment procedures for all staff, volunteers and students.
Teaching children about personal safety in age-appropriate ways.
Encouraging children to express their feelings and concerns.
Working in partnership with parents, carers and external agencies.
Maintaining secure premises and effective health and safety procedures.
Responding promptly and appropriately to any safeguarding concerns.
We use Right Help, Right Time Guidance to assess family needs from Universal Needs – what every child and family should access. To complex/Significant Needs where a family will need the support of statutory social work intervention or highly specialist services to prevent significant harm to or serious risks to a child’s health, or welfare.
