Safeguarding

We follow the principle of Never do nothing

At Castle Vale Nursery School we regard the safeguarding of children as our main priority. We believe that we all have the right to be happy, to be safe and to learn. We all have the responsibility to make this happen. We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy which can be viewed on our policies page.

If you are worried about a vulnerable child or adult you can report this by doing the following:

  • Contact Birmingham Children’s Trust on 0121 303 1888

  • Report a concern online by clicking here

  • Call the Police

Safeguarding is everyone’s business

All our staff are regularly trained in Safeguarding and understand their role and responsibility within this.

For more information about what we do please read: Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy

We use Right Help, Right Time Guidance to assess family needs from Universal Needs – what every child and family should access. To complex/Significant Needs where a family will need the support of statutory social work intervention or highly specialist services to prevent significant harm to or serious risks to a child’s health, or welfare.
