Unicef Rights of the Child

Unicef Rights Respecting School

We support the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

The Convention says what countries must do so that all children grow as healthy as possible, can learn at school, are protected, have their views listened to, and are treated fairly.

Everyone under the age of 18 has all the rights in the convention.

The UNCRC is made up of 42 Articles which outline the civil, political, social, economic and cultural rights of children.

The Unicef UK Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) supports schools across the UK to embed childrens rights in their ethos and culture.

We are a Rights Respecting School. We value all our children, families and staff. We celebrate all the different cultures and religions in our school and centre. We are an inclusive setting and our ethos and curriculum encourages our children to be independent, make good relationships and make good choices. We have some rules that everyone has to follow that keep us safe.

‘All of our children, all of the time’
